Rules and Regulations

No purchase necessary. This Contest begins on May 2nd, 2010 at 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time "PT") and ends on September 30th, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT. (the "Contest Period"). To enter the Contest, go to www.RaiseYourHand.com/champion and use the "Champion" in accordance with Rule 2 to enter contest. There is a limit of one entry per person and per email address through www.RaiseYourHand.com or the RaiseYourHand Facebook fan page; however, after submitting their entry each entrant will be eligible to obtain up to 20 more entries. See Rule 2 for details.

1. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must: (i) be a legal resident of British Columbia and (ii) have reached Thirteen (13) years of age, at the time of entry. Employees, representatives and agents of WorkSafeBC (the "Sponsor"), the Sponsor’s parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, its advertising or promotional agencies and any entity involved in the production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of the Contest and members of the immediate family or household of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. In these Rules, "immediate family" means husband or wife, mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters.

Minors: If you are under the age of nineteen, then by entering you are confirming that you have obtained your parent/legal guardian’s consent to your entering the Contest and that, should you be selected to win, your parent/guarding will be required to comply with these rules on your behalf.

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Facebook is completely released of all liability by each entrant (and, if the entrant is under the age of majority in his/her province/territory of residence, his/her parent or legal guardian) for this Contest. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to Sponsor and not Facebook.

2. HOW TO ENTER

The Contest begins at 12:00 AM Pacific Time ("PT") on May 2, 2011 and closes at 11:59 PM PT on September 30, 2011 (the "Contest Period"). No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest.

Participants may enter the contest in either of the following ways:

• Facebook: Click on the Raise Your Hand Champion link on the Raise Your Hand facebookpage welcome landing page (facebook.com/ryhmovement); or
• RaiseYourHand.com: Click the "Champions" link from the homepage of www.RaiseYourHand.com.

Once on the initial screen of any of the entry portals referred to above, participants will be prompted to submit their email address, first name and last name and (optional) phone number and their response of no more than 25 words (a "Story") on how they did (or could) "raise their hand" at their job, and they will receive one (1) Contest entry.

After submitting their entry, entrants will be sent an email with a unique URL ("Link") which will direct them to a unique landing page which houses their story and which has options for the user to share their Story with their friends on Facebook using Facebook connect.

By sharing with their friends on Facebook and having their friends "like" their Story, the user can earn up to twenty (20) more entries into the draw by sharing the link. Friends and family members with whom a contestant (a "Referring Contestant") shares the Link will may "like" the referring Contestant’s Story. For each person who likes a Referring Contestant’s Story as a result of having received the Link from that Referring Contestant, that Referring Contestant will receive one (1) additional entry (a "Referral Entry") in the Contest, subject to the following limits: LIMIT twenty (20) Referral Entries per person over the entire Contest Period, regardless of how many friends or family members who may like a Referring Contestant’s Story. LIMIT one (1) Referral Entry per Referring Contestant for each referred person. Referral entries will not be awarded if the same person(s) likes a Story more than once during the Contest Period.

Subject to additional Referral Entries described above, there is a limit of one entry per person and per email address (regardless of whether a participant enters through RaiseYourHand.com or through Raise Your Hand Facebook page) during the Entry Period. Any additional entries will be disqualified. All entries must be submitted no later than the end of the Entry Period. All entries become the property of WorkSafeBC and none will be returned. Illegible, incomplete, late, or garbled entries will be disqualified. No entries will be accepted by any other means, including but not limited to email.

By entering the Contest, each entrant: (i) grants to the Sponsor, in perpetuity, a non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use their Story, in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Contest or for any other reason, in any medium, along with their first name; (ii) waives all moral rights in and to his/her Story in favour of the Sponsor; and (iii) agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Releasees") against any and all claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trade-mark infringement or any other intellectual property related cause of action related to the Story. For greater certainty, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to: (i) disqualify any Story; (ii) modify, edit or remove any Story from any website; and/or (iii) request an entrant to modify or edit his or her Story; if a complaint is received with respect to the Story, or for any other reason.

3. WINNER SELECTIONS

GRAND PRIZE: On or about October 15, 2011 in Vancouver, British Columbia at #160 - 1020 Mainland St., a random draw will be conducted, by a representative of WorkSafeBC, to select one (1) entry for the Grand Prize. All entries received throughout the Entry Period will be included in the draw. Odds of being selected for the grand prize are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received throughout the Contest Period.

4. PRIZES

There is one (1) grand prize package available to be won, consisting of:

i. One Kinect accessory for an Xbox 360 gaming system.

ii. One Xbox 360 gaming system

iii. One Samsung 40" LED HDTV 5 550 series television

iv. One $300 gift card for Best Buy

The approximate value of the grand prize is $1,400. Prize must be accepted as awarded. Delivery of prize will be coordinated with the winners after each selected entrant has been successfully contacted, complied with all Contest rules and requirements and been declared a winner. Prize is subject to availability and exact details of the prize package are to be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value if prize listed above or any component thereof is unavailable for any reason.

5. CONDITIONS OF WINNING

a. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question during a pre-arranged telephone call, and to comply with all of these rules ("Contest Rules"). The prize is not transferable or convertible to cash and must be accepted as awarded.

b. Selected entrant will be notified by phone and must respond within forty-eight hours of notification. Upon notification, each selected entrant must respond by telephone to the contact number provided in the notification and the selected entrant's (or their parent/legal guardian if the selected entrant is under the age of nineteen years) response must be received by Sponsors within forty-eight hours of such notification. If a selected entrant does not respond in accordance with the Contest Rules or the selected entrant is unwilling or unable to comply with the Contest Rules or has not obtained the consent of their parent/legal guardian, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive a prize and another entrant will be selected for that prize. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of selected entrant to receive notification or for Sponsor to receive selected entrant's response.

c. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant (or their parent/legal guardian if the selected entrant is under the age of nineteen years) will be required to sign a Declaration and Release form (i) confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and acceptance of the prize as offered; (ii) releasing the Sponsor and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents and sponsors from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest or participating in any prize-related activity or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize, including without limitation costs injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from and (iii) granting Sponsor and its representatives and agents the unrestricted rights, in their collective or individual discretion, to publish without any further compensation the name, picture, portrait, likeness, voice and Story of that entrant for advertising and promotional purposes. The Declaration and Release must be returned within five business days of the notification date indicated on the documents or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the prize forfeited.

6. INDEMNIFICATION BY PARTICIPANTS

By entering the Contest, Entrant: (a) releases and holds harmless Sponsor and its directors, officers, employees, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, sponsors and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to persons, including death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in this Contest, or participating in any prize-related activity; and (b) agrees to fully indemnify Sponsor and its directors, officers, employees, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, sponsors and agents from any and all claims by third parties without limitation.

7. CONDUCT

By entering this Contest, Entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules, which will be posted at the Contest Website www.RaiseYourHand.ca/home/rules throughout the Contest Period. Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant it finds to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest (b) violating the Contest Rules; (c) acting in an unsportsman-like or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies, or any agreement and release documents or for any computer, online, telephone, hardware, software or technical malfunctions that may occur (including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an entry). Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries in the Contest. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrants or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Contest. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.

9. PRIVACY

By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to the Sponsors' use of entrant's personal information for the purposes of administering this Contest. Personal information collected in connection with this Contest will be handled in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy located at www.RaiseYourHand.com/home/privacy

10. LAWS

These are the Official Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor.

11. TERMINATION

Sponsor reserves the right to amend or terminate all or any portion of this Contest at any time for any reason without prior notice.
